Grüter's Hof (Marbach LU)

We are a family of six who live the farm life with heart and soul. We, Stefan &Jvonne, manage our farm with the support of our four children Anita 1994, Fabian 1997, Jolanda 2000 and Philip 2004.

This is all we offer:

• OUR FARM - We manage our two properties with a total of 31 hectares.
• TRUTINE BREEDING - We fatten turkeys and sell mixed packages to order.
• CIVER BREEDING - We raise cattle and sell mixed packages to order there as well.
• CUSTOMER BUTCHING - We slaughter our animals in the neighboring Schangnau and process them on our farm.

Animal husbandry on our farm:

Truten

Our turkeys come to our summer farm Brandsegg at the age of about 6 weeks. From mid-September they are slaughtered in neighboring Schangnau and processed in our butchery in Marbach.

**Cattle husbandry

We keep our cattle on a rearing contract. This means that as soon as the calves stop drinking milk, they are brought from the dairy farm to our farm. With us they grow from calves to cattle and are inseminated when they are about 1 .5 years old. Shortly before the cattle calve, they go back to the dairy farm and so the circle closes again.

**Chickens

Since 2021 we are in possession of a chicken mobile, which is the home of 230 chickens. The chickens enjoy free run into the countryside.

Small animal husbandry

Our farm also includes various small animals such as rabbits, chickens, goats and our farm dog Simba.

**Our farm store is open with immediate effect.

In the farm store we offer products from our farm or from the region. Self-made has a high value with us.

• Preserves (syrup, jam, tea & spice mixtures, dried etc.)

• Eggs from our own farm

Sustainability is close to our heart. The traceability of the offered products is important to us. Therefore, we do not cover product shortages with purchased goods.

Our largest rearing contract partner comes from Montet in the canton of Fribourg. Approximately every 3-4 weeks he brings calves for rearing and takes cattle home. Various dairy products are made from his milk in a regional cheese dairy. We purchase cheese, fondue and butter from him for the farm store.
